Happy 29th AJS!

So this weekend was the amazing Amanda Jane's 29th birthday! We celebrated her last year in the 20's with a 1920's themed party! Lots of people dressed up in suits, dresses, fedoras, and vests! We had a full bar (all virgin) and card games, guitar Hero, and of course karaoke! Here we are dancing to our lover Michael Buble....
Here are all the hot ladies who attended....

These are two of my favorite gangsters and the dames that love them...

Katy did an incredible job transforming our apt into a speakeasy complete with ambiance and plenty of balloons...

This is Amanda and I...(she likes to think she acts drunk when she drinks a lot...and despite the fact that they are all virgin she kind of does!)
Happy Birthday!!!

More Sequoias...

Here are more picures from our trip....

The Sequoias....

We had a blast in the Sequoia National park! My regular hiking pals Nathania and Harmony came along with my two roomies...

This is us FINALLY at the top of Morro Rock...It was like 5 million stairs carved into the side of a mountain...It had a priceless view though...

Amanda is convinced she can move mountains...but she couldn't even budge this boulder...

Millerton Lake...

I took a trip up to Millerton Lake with Nathania and Harmony...We had a great time. It was good to get away from school and work for the weekend and just be outside! The weather was perfect...not too hot and not too cold.

This is Harmony's "hiking pose" she wanted to make sure we all had it down pat before we left!

Nathania (the group biologist) informed us all that she wanted to live in these boulders....

Thanks ladies for the great time!

Congrats Laci!

So we had a graduation party for my friend Laci. She is now officially a beauty school graduate! She is also the one that gave me my awesome haircut and convinced me to chop off my hair! I have in the recent months become friends with her and now that we have gotten close it is time to say goodbye since she was just here for school. So this whole party ended up being bittersweet. Hopefully she will come visit soon since we all miss her already!!!

Yes on 8!

So about two weeks ago (yes I am clearly way behind on this) we went to a rally to support proposition 8. I think unless you have been under a rock for the last 3 months you know what this is. We were asked by our church to cancel unneccessary meetings and support the cause in any way that we could. Last night this consisted of dancing on a street corner in the pouring rain holding signs. These are pics from the rally...It was interesting....they started and ended with a prayer and I must say that if you haven't prayed with Christians of other religions...you really should try it out...

The final polls are not counted but I am writing this on election night and so far yes on 8 has passed! Hopefully all the hrs of volunteering paid off!

A night of goulish laughs....

Ok so I have never been much a fan of Halloween...except of course when I was little....us fat girls really enjoy our chocolate! Anyways, I was coerced to help host a halloween party. I stole the pics from Katy's facebook so many of them do no justice to what actually went on that night (we'll just keep that to ourselves;)) Here of course is me with my roomies...I am Ginger Spice...I really felt old since the average age of individual at out party was 20 most of the responses I received when I had to tell them who I was were mostly some version of "who?" Here are two of my favorite men ever....The one with the gun was my date last fri and he was a perfect gentleman....the kind of guy that makes you feel amazing just by being in his presence....the one on the left is the dumb guy that I still have a crush on...(yes I know...get over it already!) I couldnt pay him enough money to take me out!

We decorated our front porch with spiderwebs, prop 8 signs, hay and yes two men dressed as radical scarecrows....they did all this just so they could scare our trick or treaters...lol...and then we had one the entire night! Please also note...Batman in the background is my biking partner and the man in the red box is dressed as "God's gift to women"....very creative!
