General Conference...

So last weekend I had the opportunity to go with a few people from my ward to general conference. I ended up being in Utah for a total of about 30 hrs and the drive ended up being about 28hrs round trip. I must say though that it was definately worth it. I needed the break and it was great to get to know Laci, Nathania, and Matt much better....nothing helps you get to know people like a roadtrip!

The dynamic duo strike again!...

Ok so it seems that the chore of kidnapping mormon boys has become rather monotonous and predictable...Amanda....er...I mean Natasha and I decided we needed to try our luck in other acts of espionage...The latest: Toothpaste and shaving cream ambush!

Target: Our Roomate

Plan of attack: While she is sleeping so peacefully we will sneak up on the unsuspecting victim and cover her in shaving cream and toothpaste...at the same time we will be taking pictures because all great scandals must be documented adequately!

Happy Birthday Candace!!!

So we had this great dinner at a little Mexican Restaurant in Fresno called Casa Corona...Candace selected it as the venue for her 21st b-day! We had some great conversation and food...try the chicken chimichanga!

Splendid Sushiness....

Ok so my amazing sister Al taught me how to make sushi years ago and in the past we have often had girl's nights making sushi and watching chick flicks however recently we had our first ever co-ed sushi night! A few of our favorite guys came over and since they were all sushi-making-virgins things got pretty interesting....The pic above is our friend who was obviously VERY proud and actually he has every right to be...this man can cook, understand deep gospel doctrine, and now even make sushi!
Here we have another amazing example of prime sushi making...
Good thing Amanda bought this fantastic IKEA table so we could have plenty of space to work on our deliciousness...
Ok, so this sushi won the award for the most creative...whoever thought to put potstickers INSIDE the sushi...our friend here decided afterward that he didn't like the seaweed so he taught us all a great lesson in PEELING sushi...Overall I think everyone had a great time...I know I did...

Fostering Addiction...

So I am taking a substance abuse class this semester which I am finding to be a tad too Liberal for me but I am really enjoying the science behind it. So I was thinking as my colleagues discussed all the reasons as to why we should legalize cocaine for everyone, about my efforts towards becoming a runner. We learn about how to help people find their way out of addiction but what about someone who wants to find their way into it? Ok, so I realize that addiction, by definition, must be something that is harmful to your body so I am using the term loosely here in reference to running but I want to learn to crave it! Here is the plan...each day for a minimum of forty minutes I will get my body to the point where the endorphins are firing in my brain and the essence of a "runner's high" has been activated...over time (in theory) I should be a full blown addict in a short time right? I will get back to you on this...wish me luck!
